Renewed in 2018 series of electric guitars X The Series has been completely redesigned with an even more modern and ergonomic design and improved instrumentation.Sleek yet aggressive, the X Series instruments are built for metal styles yet versatile enough to be used in any musical genre from fusion to classic rock.The youngest model in the family X Series, the X-100 features the same incredibly comfortable and ergonomic design, while remaining accessible even to beginner musicians. A predatory meranti body with a high-speed selected maple neck is complemented by two powerful Powersound humbuckers and a traditional Vintage type tremolo. A Chosen Wood Combination Unlike many other inexpensive instruments, the X-100 is made from solid wood. The body is made of meranti (sometimes referred to as Philippine mahogany) and the hard maple neck is fitted with a jatoba fretboard that is as close to rosewood as possible. The woods have been chosen to achieve a tight, rich sound without punching a hole in the budget. Cort Powersound Pickups Designed and manufactured in-house by Cort, these pickups feature powerful ferrite magnets for high output and aggressive, tight sound. Powersound humbuckers sound great at high gain levels, while still being intelligible and sensitive to your picking. Vintage 6 Screw Tremolo The classic vintage 6 screw tremolo design on the X-100 ensures precise intonation of every note played and smooth operation of the machine. Ergonomic Chassis Design The contoured chassis profile not only lends the X-100 a sleek and aggressive appearance, but also noticeably enhances playing comfort. Cort has found the perfect cutting angle to ensure that the X-Series instruments are as comfortable as possible, while maintaining aesthetics and not cutting off excess.
