The Runt 112 cabinet is a closed volume that uses Baltic birch "tongue and groove" construction to deliver bass, mids and great the sound you would expect from a Friedman 1x12” cabinet. The heart of the cabinet is a 16 ohm Celestion G12M-65 Creamback speaker. The G12M Greenback is perhaps Celestion's defining vintage ceramic magnet speaker. Developed in the mid-sixties, it was quickly adopted by the likes of Hendrix, Beck, and Page, who epitomized the louder, more aggressive blues-rock styles of the era. The increased power of the G12M-65 Creamback used in the Runt 112 creates a familiar rounded and warm tone, making it perfect for both vintage and modern tones. The increased power brings with it more bass, complementing a warm and vocal midrange, crisp upper mids and soft, refined highs. As with all Friedman cabinets, the oversized wire (12 gauge) between the speakers and the terminal ensures 100% sound quality. This compact little monster not only excels in the studio, but is the perfect solution for any stereo setup, as well as wet/dry/wet. The Friedman Runt 112 is proudly handcrafted in the USA and designed to withstand the rigors of touring.
